The date of founding of this town, is not known with accuracy although it is known with certainty that it was reconquered as a result of the taking of Toledo by Alfonso VI. Despite this, there are authors who placed the first references written in the 10th century.

In 1150, in a letter from Alfonso VII to the order of St. John, cited the towns of Bogue and the old BlackBerry; that seems to indicate that there are two nearby towns with that name. Olive oil

Extra Virgin olive oil, is the most representative product of the municipality, the highest quality olive juice, obtained by a natural process, improved with the experience of Millers teachers, which for four centuries have been going on in the town. Town Hall

It is perhaps the most unique building of the municipality and represents a beautiful metaphor with its name and its use. The neo-Mudéjar style integrates with Semitic motifs in their windows giving an air of union of peoples, this newly restored building has an interesting exhibition of modern painting, formed by the national permission first from the feast of the olive tree. Old Municipal slaughterhouse (Tourism Office)

Industrial chimneys

These old industrial chimneys were erected in each of the mills of oil as essential to the functioning of the hydraulic press extraction of the same. Castle of Peñas Negras

Church of Nuestra Señora de Altagracia
